Most of you have heard this devastating news regarding this wonderful man
Shane Figueroa. As the boys from high school (we all know them, the one's that sat at the block wall everyday) would like to put together a special gift for Shane's baby girl. Sadly she will not get the chance to know what a wonderful father, husband, best friend, police officer, ward member, but most of all example that Shane has been to so many of us in our lives. We would greatly appreciate any memories that you have of Shane. We hope that this book might help his sweet little angel,Kenzlie, understand how great of a father she has!!!!Thank you for your support. If you would kindly email them to me at nthaslam@gmail.com. We will be putting a book together. Thank you so much. Please pray for there sweet little family.

I am in shock. I heard about it yesterday and was so sad. He was such a nice, sweet kid. I always thought how friendly he was to everyone. Thanks for the pictures. What a sad tragedy. Let me know if you get any more details. remind me to tell you on Thursday about someone's blog I found!!

Wow. Thanks for posting this. I had no idea. One of the reasons I miss Arizona (finding out news about friends.) He was a great guy.

This just pisses me off, dang drunks! I don't know y'all but was looking to see if the Figeroas had a blog so I could tell them we're praying for them. My hubby is a Scottsdale officer and we're about the same age/young kids as your friends, the Figeroas. Please tell them strangers everywhere are praying for them during this unfortunate time.

Are you trying to make this book before the funeral? Or just sometime in the near future? I want to know what I can do to help, so let me know! My email is stacki11@yahoo.com

THANK YOU!

Teresa, I talked to Katie Hogle last night and we were talking about what we could do for Shane. Katie talked to Tara and she mentioned this post on your blog so we are all working on putting together memories. We are going to send them to you in the next day or two. Thanks for doing this. It's hard to believe that Shane is gone. I was so sad when I found out. This will be a nice thing for Kenzlie to have.

oh my writing that letter to his daughter brought up all kinds of emotions. Thanks for giving me the opportunity. I've been praying for Nate as well, hows he holding up? Let me know if you don't get the letter.

I'm not sure if you already talked to Mase about this book, but I'm sure he'd like to add to it. Good idea, I know Kenzlie (and Melisha) will appreciate it! It was so good to see you guys this weekend! We love you guys and can't wait to see you again at Christmastime!

Ya, it isn't looking great for our chances but we'll see. Thanks for the supportive words. I know it's not going to be like this forever. Great idea on the book of memories. I thought the service was very touching and spiritual. Austin did such a good job on the life sketch, that must have been so hard for him.

Teresa,
Hey I was thinking-- you guys should make a copy of this book and give it to Shane's mom! She's had 25 years of memories with him and she most likely knows all of us friends who are contributing so she'd love this book!! It's be so personal to her. Just a thought. My mom and Susan were talking and they mentioned this to me.....I think it's a great idea. Maybe you're already doing it :)

Thank you my dear. I don't feel "little" though. It was so fun getting together with everyone. We need to do it more often. I saw on your profile info that Nate likes to Fly Model Airplanes. Jon wants one so bad. Where does Nate get his?
